Jeff and LaWanda: Our journey began upon meeting in January of 1993. LaWanda was overcoming the hurt of an unfaithful husband, wondering if she could ever fully trust again; Jeff was learning to live drug-free after completing an intensive, out-patient treatment program just a month or so before.. if odds were placed early, most would favor that this couldn't last.

After dating just over three months; Jeff proposed. Our wedding took place on June 19th, 1993.

On December 16, 2011, 18 years into our marriage, God blessed us with a daughter, Madison Emery!

Deeply in love with each other, we continue to write our story, trusting in God and each other, one day at a time.
